Contribution Disclaimer

By proceeding with this transaction, you confirm the following:

  1. I am a United States citizen or a lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).¹
  2. This contribution is made using my own personal funds, and I am not receiving funds from another person or entity to make this contribution.²
  3. I am at least 18 years of age.
  4. I understand that contributions or gifts to Friends for Cory Malinowski are not tax-deductible.
  5. I understand that Maryland law limits contributions to $6,000 per individual (including business entities) per four-year election cycle for a single candidate or political committee. This limit includes both monetary and in-kind contributions and applies cumulatively from January 1st four years before the general election through December 31st the year of the election.
  6. I understand that state law requires campaigns to make best efforts to collect and report the full name, mailing address, occupation, and employer of any individual who contributes more than $500 during an election cycle.
  7. I understand that this campaign is explicitly for a local election and is therefore not subject to federal contribution limits or disclosure requirements.
  8. If contributing as a business entity, I will provide the address where the business is registered or where it conducts business.

¹ The Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA) prohibits any foreign national from contributing, donating or spending funds in connection with any federal, state, or local election in the United States, either directly or indirectly. Under FECA, US Lawful Permanent Residents (“Green Card” holders) are not considered foreign nationals. However, green card holders are not eligible to vote.

² This requirement prevents pass through or strawman donations in excess of Maryland campaign finance regulations that apply to a single person or business entity. Further, anonymous donations are prohibited under state and federal law. This requirement does not prevent businesses from contributing as independent entities, but other restrictions may apply to business contributions. Please consult an attorney with knowledge of Maryland Campaign Finance laws if you have specific questions about how these limits may apply in your specific case.
