Today we celebrate two and a half centuries of grit, honor, and unwavering service.
Since 1775, the United States Army has stood watch over freedom – from the muddy banks of the Delaware, to the beaches of Normandy, from Valley Forge to Vietnam, from Baghdad to Bagram. Through every chapter of our nation’s story, the Army has answered the call: with boots on the ground, hearts full of courage, and an unshakable belief in the American ideal.
To the soldiers past and present: thank you.
For your sacrifices.
For your discipline.
For your devotion to a cause bigger than yourself.
As a Navy veteran, I’ve served alongside some of the best soldiers in the world, and I’ve seen firsthand the strength, professionalism, and heart that defines the U.S. Army.
The Army isn’t just a uniform. It’s a promise. A promise to stand firm when others falter, to lead when others hesitate, and to serve with pride, integrity, and strength.
Here’s to 250 years of the world’s greatest Army, and to the next generations who will carry the flag forward.
A heartfelt Happy Birthday to the U.S. Army.
May your legacy of service always shine bright like the country you defend.
