Today we celebrate the birth of a nation dedicated to liberty, personal responsibility, and the promise that every citizen can help shape our shared future. From our farmers and tradespeople to the service members standing guard around the world, the American spirit endures.
As fireworks shimmer over the Chesapeake this evening, let us thank the brave men and women in uniform and the first responders who keep our communities safe. You have my deepest gratitude for what you do.
